Millions of dogs are abandoned every day, and the Yorkie bread just happens to be one of them. Sometimes owners just get bored, or realize they aren’t fit to care for the animal, and thus, they must give them up.
Some Yorkies must actually be rescued for neglectful or abusive owners, while some are taken in simply because of abandonment. A Yorkie is not the type of dog that can simply fend for itself, and in order to remain healthy and happy, they need good, permanent, homes.
If you are looking to adopt a Yorkie, I would recommend looking into Yorkie Rescue, as opposed to buying one outright. There are several reasons why. First, and foremost, you are saving a dog that has been in a previously unhappy situation, and when it comes to Yorkies, you are also saving a lot of money. Yorkies are loyal, talkative, and do very well in family situations due to their temperament, and thus they are very safe to have around the kids. With Yorkie Rescue, you are saving a dog, owning a new one, and saving money. Many Yorkies that are abandoned may have medical bills or health issues, but many are just a healthy and ready to go.
Do both your family, and prospective dog a favor, and before running to a pet store, check out Yorkie Rescue!

Very interested in adopting a Yorkie. We have a loving home to offer and have always had dogs. We understand the commitment and care they require. Please advise me of your adoption requirements.
