Animal abuse is prevalent in any society but when you take into consideration the yorkies that are being abused and abandoned by their heartless owners can simply break your heart. The good news is that there are yorkie rescue centers who cater to the needs of these abandoned Yorkshire terriers. However, before you proceed with giving these yorkies a second lease in life, it is your job to ensure that the center you are considering is capable of helping the dog and has the facilities and resources needed to provide the best care.
It is almost unlikely for yorkie rescue shelters to really provide assistance to abused or abandoned yorkies with the services of an accessible veterinarian. If the center you have in mind does not have a vet who can render their services on a regular basis this could be a sign that it is not the right center for the job.
Qualified people who has knowledge of getting an abused or abandoned Yorkshire terrier the assistance it needs should provide personnel to rescue centers who can identify the issues that can arise when an abused animal arrives at the center. Make sure that the staff of the facility with whom you are turning the dog over is competent.
Most of the improved yorkie breeders will usually get in touch with local yorkie rescue facilities and offer their support in helping these dogs find a new home so that they can have a new lease on life. Although not a requirement, it will certainly help if the rescue center you are considering has the additional outlet for searching for a new home for the dog.
You may try to research if the rescue group you have in mind is part of the network of animal rescue groups that collaborate to pursue a common goal of providing assistance to abandoned or abused animals. This can work to their benefit because if the rescue center does not have the required resources it needs to provide the assistance to rescued dogs because they can join forces with the other groups to procure the resources needed to get help.
Humane individuals are responsible for seeking the help of abandoned or abused animals whom they feel requires it. If you see that a Yorkshire terrier demands some assistance, there are yorkie rescue shelters you can count on. Just be careful when getting in touch with one because they might not have the equipments that can provide help to the rescued yorkie.

It is unfortunate to read from news and watch from tv that some dogs are left homeless and found wandering around the streets. It is also browning off to learn that some dogs are killed or put to suffer until their death because they are viewed as useless or crowding a space. At this time, there are confirmed reports about dog abuses that are not addressed by laws. Animal rights are indeed not respected in many places.

It is further saddening to learn that despite the joy and happiness that dogs brings to people, they are still being abused. The dogs are deprived of the love and care that they deserve. Their right to live and enjoy their lives is also taken away from them. The government has not taken action to protect the dogs. Only few groups of people are also devoted to save the dogs, especially Yorkie breed. Sometimes, some of these pro-dog organizations collapse due to financial incapability. Today, there are only few strong organizations helping to rescue Yorkie.

Among the favorite breeds of dogs is Yorkie. It is also the breed that is feared to extinct because of few organizations upholding their life. Yorkie is known to normally live up to 15 years. Some are lucky to reach 20 years. During the 15 years that Yorkie can live, there are various happy things it can share to humans. Aside from its cute and cuddly features, it is also capable of communicating with humans. A love and care given is also given back. Its beauty also shines as it grows older. Apart from that, there are various colors of Yorkie dogs. Their coats also grow stronger and silkier giving more delight to everyone seeing them. Apart from that, Yorkie dogs are fond of playing and walking with their masters as they grow old. They also enjoy running around the yard. At the last stage of their life, they bring more inspiration and love to keep despite their extinction. Such experience is worth a treasure because of the smiles and happy times spent with them. These things may be simple yet they can be pleasure worth to be treasured. In order not to miss such experiences with the Yorkies, time is right to rescue them and make their life more colorful. Before Yorkie comes into extinction, anyone’s time and effort to rescue Yorkie is worth more than gold and silver.

Dogs are said to be man’s best friend. As a best friend, dogs show their love and care to their owner. Dogs are also capable of serving their owners. They, too, can communicate and show off what they got by their tricks, skills, and strategies in any manner. Many dog owners have established their love with their dogs because of the happiness that their dogs bring to them and to their family. Caring dogs may be expensive. But dogs are capable of proving their worth. Dogs are indeed the most valuable and useful pet. But then, despite the great things that the dogs can bring, it is frustrating to see many dogs having no shelter and no one to love them.

Truthfully, there are dogs that have no place to go and masters. They merely wander around the streets finding foods anywhere. They are not protected from vultures and enemies that may end their lives. They are not properly taken care of. Their lives are indeed put to danger. But it is not yet late to rescue Yorkie.

Sadly, dogs only depend upon man to save their lives from danger. Since man consider the dogs are their bestfriend, and so the dogs. As a bestfriend, man should take effort and time to take care of the dogs whose lives are put to danger. The last hope of the dogs for survival depends upon the hands of man. Unluckily, the yorkie is among the breeds wandering in streets and hoping to find shelter.

Notably, Yorkie normally lives only up to 15 years. Yorkie that reaches 10 years of age is already experiencing the risk of being thrown out and terminated. Among owners, Yorkie that are getting older are no longer useful. However, contrary to such notion, Yorkie is more capable while growing old. At age ten and above, Yorkie is more energetic to walk and play with its master. Yorkie owners can also enjoy running with their dogs on their yards. Knowing that Yorkie lives only 15 years, living with these dogs should be treasured. In fact, 15 year period is only a short period that should not be missed. Within such period, Yorkies can bring happy experiences that should be enjoyed and treasured while they are alive. So, instead of living Yorkies unsheltered and unloved, Yorkie should be saved before they come into extinction. This very moment is the perfect time to rescue Yorkie.

Millions of dogs are abandoned every day, and the Yorkie bread just happens to be one of them. Sometimes owners just get bored, or realize they aren’t fit to care for the animal, and thus, they must give them up. Some Yorkies must actually be rescued for neglectful or abusive owners, while some are taken in simply because of abandonment. A Yorkie is not the type of dog that can simply fend for itself, and in order to remain healthy and happy, they need good, permanent, homes.

If you are looking to adopt a Yorkie, I would recommend looking into Yorkie Rescue, as opposed to buying one outright. There are several reasons why. First, and foremost, you are saving a dog that has been in a previously unhappy situation, and when it comes to Yorkies, you are also saving a lot of money. Yorkies are loyal, talkative, and do very well in family situations due to their temperament, and thus they are very safe to have around the kids. With Yorkie Rescue, you are saving a dog, owning a new one, and saving money. Many Yorkies that are abandoned may have medical bills or health issues, but many are just a healthy and ready to go.

Do both your family, and prospective dog a favor, and before running to a pet store, check out Yorkie Rescue!

A home for Mia

Mia is a one year old, 7lb Yorkshire Terrier. She has been under the loving care of a volunteer of this Yorkie dog rescue after getting separated from her family and being captured by animal control in Texas. This volunteer foster owner rescued and currently cares for Mia as well as other cats and dogs as part of the Yorkie dog rescue network. Mia is currently in the foster care of that volunteer in Los Angeles, CA. This care includes an initial medical evaluation to guarantee that any respective owner is taking home a healthy pet. Mia was examined by a veterinarian and was diagnosed with some minor conditions caused by her time on her own which required medication. Blood tests showed that Mia was slightly anemic due to fleas. She also had runny eyes and an ear infection. All of these conditions are being medicated by her foster owner as directed by the vet. None of this has slowed down little Mia, who is still frisky and playful, though she is recovering.

This Yorkie dog rescue organization wants to make sure that its pets are placed in loving and compatible permanent homes. Foster pets have their pictures displayed on the website for potential owners to browse. Foster owners also help in the process of finding good homes for homeless pets. This will insure that Mia doesn’t end up astray again. While she awaits adoption, Mia’s socialization has been tested. Mia lives and plays well with other dogs and cats both male and female without issue. The Yorkie dog rescue volunteer in charge of her care has reported that Mia is good on her housetraining skills. Her favorite toy is a ball. She loves to fetch any kind of ball that is thrown, whether fluffy, sqeaky, or bouncy. Mia is all puppy and spends her time at the Yorkie dog rescue playing alone and with the other pets.

Every dog deserves to have a permanent human companion. Mia is currently in the process of being adopted. She will make a wonderful pet. Such a great yorkie rescue dog could slip between your fingers, so begin looking today!

We have all heard and learned over and over again how behavior in rescued puppy mill yorkies surface. Obviously it’s a psychological thing, and I strongly believe that such behavior issues (mostly negative) can be curbed.

Not easily, but with compassion, patience, love, and thorough understanding CAN turn these once-abused yorkies into normal, loving, and adorable canines, you wouldn’t believe it.

Every yorkie owner breeds and trains his pet to accord to his master’s surroundings as humans do – fitting in the norm, as one should say. But puppy mill yorkies are rather grossly trained to keep their silence to breed puppies for profit. Seeing their living conditions seriously makes me throw up.

Bitches living in a secluded place where she can only see and feel other bitches enduring the same fate hurts them physically, mentally, and emotionally. This is also the kind of fate that cuts them away from human beings, too.

One can never really stand the sight of such yorkie enduring the kind of torture being imposed on them. In this case, these puppy mill yorkies are mostly devoid of human contact.

So they live and eat like everyday, only to wake up to live and eat again, being ‘cared for’ by the most uncaring people that ever lived on this planet. These same people have succeeded in instilling the horror in the minds of these poor bitches for the sake of money!

Now, it doesn’t surprise me if puppy mill yorkies display extreme behaviors against people. They cower in fear. Sometimes presence of human beings alone brings out the beast in them. And one can’t blame them for acting like that.

I have always wondered WHY do these sick people do such things… I can never understand their ‘logic’ (suuuure) with regard to ‘manufacturing’ puppies in such a way that trust does not coexist between these puppy mill yorkies and their ‘masters.

I don’t know, but if I ever volunteered to rescue puppy mill yorkies and it so happened that their owner were there- I would definitely take a swing. It doesn’t matter if he’s way bigger than me. The ‘fair treatment’ (AKA abuse) he is giving so-called ‘pets’ is big enough for anyone, or for any yorkie to muster.

One can never really wholly make this world a better place, but if you do care for these yorkies – report an incident that you know of right now.

Yorkshire terrier rescue groups, however they differ from each other, have a single goal: to rescue Yorkshire terriers that have been living the dark side of life.

These yorkies (purebred or crossbred) being rescued are merely neglected and abused in one way or another by their owners; whatever compelled these people to impose such cruelty on these hapless yorkies is beyond me.

On the other hand, there are good yorkie owners too. These are owners who, after adopting the dog and found out that he was not fit to be a pet simply sought the help of a rescue group to have him placed in another good home.

A lot of these rescued Yorkshire Terriers have a sad story to tell. Some of them are products of puppy mills; some of them were found wandering in the streets – heavily starved, dirty, afflicted with illness, and very much unwanted.

It is such a pity that there are people who can just abandon their yorkies like that.

Fortunately, there are Yorkshire terrier rescue groups that are dedicated to saving these little dogs in order for them to start anew. To get healed, feel better, and be given the chance how it is to be genuinely loved by humans.

Some yorkies have lived a few years more in their care, some have not. But these dogs have spent the last days of their lives struggling against the harsh blows of fate with people who have the heart to take good care of them.

These people who, in spite of having busy schedules themselves, simply stretched a bit of their time and attention to yorkies that are being marred physically, and emotionally.

It is a big struggle for these yorkies to trust anyone. But as soon as they are offered safety and shown love, you’ll be surprised at the progress they show.

I have read so much of yorkie rescues with heartbreaking pictures of what they were before. I could not help but cry because these dogs do not deserve to be treated so badly by people who claim to have good authority over them.

Their stories will deeply touch anyone – dog lover or not. Stories which tell both the good and the bad times rescued yorkies experienced in the hands of those who took advantage and left them – and hopefully, their stories will serve to people to love their yorkies more, and show how lucky they are.
