i was on craigs list and seen a ad that had a yorkie to rehome for 30.00 so i called the lady and ask for her.i had been wanting one of these little darlings, have owned pit bulls,a pom.and other dogs, but this little dog,the lady said she came from a puppy mill, and she told me the lady baby was blind in one eye,and that she had her on a special diet; well my grandson went to meet the lady on xmas eve. and when the little dog got home to me,it broke my heartshe is so boney that her ribs are sticking out,it feels awful to try to pick her up.she is so malnourished; her back bone sticks up a half inch out of her back, and the lady told me over the phone that she was bathing the yorkie to bring her to me,and noticed that her other eye had a spot in it,like they start when they go blind,i can imagine how she lived, the lady said she kept it with another yorkie.and a poodle [i think ]in a shed , w,ith heat in it,but i just wonder how she had to live their too, and the little dog is starved to death .i bought her some of the Cesar food .and she gobbles it down,so i been feeding her 3 cans of it a day,to try to get some weight on her,and i am gonna take her to the vet today, she if i can do anything else for her , she holds her little neck like its broke, but the lady said she lived in small quarters, and maybe thats why she walks around and around in cirlces.and holds her head that way.i am just gonna love her and do what i can for her,

We adopted a Yorkie rescued dog and she has been such a wonderful pet. Yes, it does take patience and she is still not completely potty trained but she has made enormous progress. When we first received her, she could barely even stand, walked with her head down and did not want to be around people. She has learned to love and trust our family and likes to sit next to us in chairs, on couches and beds but she does not like to be held. It is so rewarding because we know that she loves us, she follows me around everywhere but does not want to be picked up. She however will not let me out of her sight so I think in time she may learn to trust even more and will get more comfortable with being held. I love her so much and find her so precious, I am so happy that we rescued her and I know that she loves our family too.

I adopted a puppy mill yorkie a short time ago and I still haven't been able to fully potty trin her, but it takes a lot of patience and love. Unfortunately I think she went through a bad spat since she's seven years old and has only three teeth left, but my roommate and I are always taking turns holding her and helping with new sights and sounds which obviously she was denied most of her life. The one thing to remember is that although she has a tough time learning things she no doubt feels the love and appreciates everything you do for her--
